Recipe for Texas Sheet Cake (Aunt Cheryl's)

Ingredients:

Cake:

2 sticks margarine

1 cup cold water

4 tbsp cocoa

2 cups sifted flour

2 cups sugar

1/2 tsp salt

2 eggs

1/2 cup sour cream

1 tsp baking soda

Icing:

1 stick margarine

4 tbsp cocoa

6 tbsp milk

16 oz powdered sugar

1 tsp vanilla

1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

Cake:

Boil margarine, water, cocoa; remove from heat

Add flour, sugar, and salt

Beat in eggs, sour cream, and baking soda

Pour into greased shallow 12x12 or 11x13 pan

Bake at 375 for 20 minutes

Icing:

Boil margarine, cocoa, and milk; remove from heat

Add powdered sugar, vanilla, nuts

Beat and spread onto cooled cake
